Maine Moose Hunts
A hunt truly unlike any other. For many a Maine Moose hunt is the hunt of a lifetime, something some people wait upwards of 30 years to draw the coveted tag. I am blessed to guide for an outfitter in northern Maine every year out of a spike camp in Zone 1 in the heart of moose country. Beyond the hunt itself, the experience offers a true connection to Maine’s wild landscape, where solitude, raw beauty, and respect for the animal define the journey. For those fortunate enough to draw a permit, a Maine moose hunt is more than a pursuit—it’s a once-in-a-lifetime outdoor tradition.
